While we’re a small non-profit, Leave No Trace is stocked full of talented, creative and passionate folks and we’re all working hard to promote responsible outdoor recreation. Here’s a glimpse of the folks you’ll find in the office.
Leave No Trace is also comprised of our 3 teams of traveling educators that canvas the country teaching, educating, spreading the Leave No Trace love.
Bigfoot has been living the Leave No Trace ethics for decades, setting a shining example for what is possible for all of us. Around the office, we have coined the phrase "Bigfoot's Been Doing It For Years." He wants you to take his challenge.

Kurt is responsible for all day-to-day accounting, financial reporting and the human resource function. Additionally he manages the retail sales of educational materials. Kurt works directly with the Center’s Board of Directors, the Board Treasurer and the Audit committee on all significant financial issues affecting the organization.

Susy handles various aspects of communications, international, development, brand and overall strategy for the Leave No Trace program.

Sara handles the organization’s comprehensive membership program, including membership services, individual giving and major gifts; and handles various aspects of corporate partnerships, grant writing and fundraising.

Sarah manages the PEAK program, grants/scholarships, and the volunteer State Advocate Program. She also assists with curriculum development and other educational initiatives.

Ben leads curriculum development, manages national education and training programs, facilitates international educational initiatives and coordinates general outreach efforts.

Dean manages our extensive membership network, fulfilling new and renewing memberships, responding to membership questions and feedback, and provides overall support to the Leave No Trace community.

Catherine manages our non-corporate partnership program, as well as our community program. She is also responsible for overseeing Leave No Trace’s online community development, including this website and our new media initiatives (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

Dana is responsible for program development, hiring and supervising staff, and overseeing the annual budget and operational plan. Dana is a member of the Center’s board of directors and works directly with the board to set policy and help shape the future strategy of the Leave No Trace national and international effort.

Dave manages the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainer program, the Subaru VIP program, and the Leave No Trace e-tour. Dave handles all event requests directed to the Center and schedules the Traveling Trainers, the e-tour or contacts advocates and key volunteers about attending select events.

Betsy is the newest member of the Leave No Trace team, (wo)manning the phones, fielding inquiries, and striving for overall office organization. She is responsible for the processing and fulfillment of all orders received, including merchandise, teaching materials, and memberships/partnerships.
